High-Voltage Reed Relay for Insulation Testing in Compact ATE Systems

A leading manufacturer of electrical test equipment needed a compact relay capable of withstanding extremely high voltages to test the insulation characteristics of electrical components. The challenge? Fit a relay with 5 kV AC (7 kV peak) one-minute withstand voltage into a 30 mm-long package, without compromising performance or usability.
